Nuno Mira do Ó is the dude behind Mira do Ó Vinhos, and he now has three duties. There’s his private wines that go beneath his title, after which two partnerships. One is with Joana Santiago in Vinho Verde known as SOU (Quinta de Santiago & Mira do Ó), and the alternative is with João Soares in Bairrada, known as V Puro.
Nuno began making wines in 2001 for various people, after which in 2009 began his private mission in Bairrada in collaboration with winemaker João Soares, which is called th V Puro mission. He then added a second space, Dão, in 2012, collaborating with João Corrêa: that’s beneath the label Druida. Mira do Ó will also be used for Dão wines, and a few 12 months later he added Bucelas. The SOU mission with Joana Santiago began in 2018.
Winemaking is fingers off, with pure setting and wild fermentation.

Druida Branco 2022 Dão, Portugal
Single parcel of Encruzado on blue granite with clay on excessive. Vinified in cement tanks. Linear and vivid with stunning citrus fruit. Stony and detailed with lemon, pear and hints of pith, along with good citrus focus. Very incredible. 94/100
Druida Encruzado Reserva 2022 Dão, Portugal
This was the first wine Nuno made throughout the Dão once more in 2012, and it’s a web page at 500 m near Visieu. Barrel fermented. Energetic and vivid, modern and stony. Good acid line with refined nut and aniseed on the top. 94/100
Grande Druida Branco 2021 Dão, Portugal
It’s a single plot with additional clay on excessive of the granite. Shiny, modern and linear with a whole lot of minerality and keen acidity. There’s a contact of apple, some lime, and as well as some pear. Good weight and freshness. 94/100
Mira do Ó Caminhante 2022 Dão, Portugal
It’s a blanc de Noir from Baga. Solely a hint of colour. Fairly weight with some cherry and aniseed notes along with lemony fruit. Open and fruity; barely spicy with precise focus to the fruit. 93/100
Doravante Bairrada Blanco 2022 Portugal
From clay/limestone soils near Melhado, that’s primarily Bical, 80 in large and small oak and 20% in steel. Mineral, vivid, modern and lemony with stunning chalky texture and a twist of mint. Such focus and purity. 94/100
Aliós Branco de Outrora 2021 Bairrada, Portugal
That’s largely Bical, and outdated vines. Textured, modern, layered and complex with lemony fruit and some refined nuttiness. Stony and incredible with a gorgeous purity and a waxy/almond aspect to it. 92/100
Teima Branco 2021 Alentejo, Portugal
That’s from an outdated vineyard in Portalegre at 600-700 m, and the soils are transitioning between granite and schist. Topic combine. Very incredible, modern and mineral with refined wax, pear and some lime. Layered and correctly difficult with a stony edge. 94/100
Teima Tinto 2021 Alentejo, Portugal
From vineyards at 500-600 m. The first varieties are Castelão and Grand Noir, and pretty just a little little bit of whole bunch fermentation is used. Up to date, supple and vivid with pure cherry fruit and good freshness. Expressive and pure. 93/100
Druida Tinto 2020 Dão, Portugal
From three plots. Jaen (100% whole bunch), Alfrocheiro (50% whole bunch) and Touriga Nacional (destemmed). Optimistic and expressive with stunning purity, exhibiting pretty pink fruit prime quality with a contact of liquorice and crushed rock. Very incredible and pure with good acidity and just a little little bit of crunch. 94/100
Puro Aliós Tinto Elegáncia de Outrora 2021 Bairrada, Portugal
From a centenarian vineyard of Baga. Shiny, linear, tart and focused with pure pink cherry and cranberry fruit, backed up by incredible building. There’s good acidity proper right here. Tart and actually incredible, a very good wanting expression of Baga. 95/100
Puro Aliós Ourtrora Baga Clássico 2018 Bairrada, Portugal
Structured and refined, and pretty primary in style with company tannins and notes of liquorice and iodine, along with cherry and berry fruit. Precise precision proper right here and it’ll possibly age for ever. 95/100
